Privacy Policy

• Account details — your name, email address and password, or the identity Apple or Google shares when you sign in with them.
• Your profile and documents — work history, education, skills, location, links, profile photo, and the résumés and cover letters you upload or create.
• Your job search — jobs you save, track or apply to, job alerts, and the notes and stages on your tracker.
• Job-page content — when you use the extension on a job page, the page’s text, form fields and address, so it can score the match and fill the form.
• Mock interviews — your voice while an interview is running, and the transcript and feedback it produces.
• Feedback you send — your message and any screenshots you attach.
• Technical data — session tokens that keep you signed in, basic device and request details, and error reports that help us fix crashes.

• Fill applications and write résumés, letters and answers.
• Match you to jobs and score how well you fit them.
• Run mock interviews and give you feedback on them.
• Keep your account secure and answer you when you write in.
• Send messages about your account, and product news if you choose to receive it.
• Understand which features are used, so we can improve them.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to make credit, lending or eligibility decisions.

The mobile app asks for the microphone only when you start a mock interview, and for your photos only when you choose a profile picture or attach a screenshot. Preferences such as haptic feedback and notification choices are stored on your phone.

The browser extension runs only on job sites you enable. It reads a page only when you open its panel or start autofill there, and never tracks your browsing or runs in the background on other sites.

During a mock interview your voice is streamed to our servers and on to an AI provider so the interviewer can hear and answer you. The audio is processed live and is not saved as a recording. We keep the written transcript and the feedback so you can review them, and you can delete an interview at any time.

Only with providers who run parts of Applydeck for us, under contract, and only what each needs:

• Cloud hosting, database and file storage providers.
• AI model providers, which generate content, scores and interview responses from what you send.
• Email delivery providers, for account and service messages.
• Payment processors, including Stripe and the App Store or Google Play, which handle card details themselves — we never see them.
• Error monitoring and product analytics on the website.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety and security of our users and service.

We keep your account and profile while your account is open. Job-page content sent for autofill or scoring is kept only as long as it takes to produce the result and keep the service reliable, then deleted or de-identified. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.

You can view, correct, export or delete your data from your account, or by writing to us. Deleting your account is in Settings on the web and in the app. You can choose which notifications the app sends you, and removing the extension stops all page reading.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may give you further rights; contact us and we will help you use them.

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people and services that need it, and sign-in sessions are stored securely on your devices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to tell you if a breach affects your data, as the law requires.

Applydeck is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to keep it protected in line with this policy and the law.

We may update this policy as Applydeck changes. If a change is material we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the app.
